To provide support staff and professionals with a basic knowledge of epilepsy and the management of seizures. An “Epilepsy & Emergency Medication course” is designed to provide education and training to individuals, caregivers, and healthcare professionals about epilepsy, its management, and how to administer emergency medications to someone experiencing a seizure or a prolonged seizure (status epilepticus). Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, and knowing how to respond during a seizure and when to administer emergency medication is crucial.
This course is relevant for a wide range of individuals, including employees, employers, educators, students, community leaders, and anyone interested in promoting diversity and inclusion. It is particularly important for those in leadership or human resources roles.
